He received his BTech (Electronics and Communications Engineering Honours) from IIT Kharagpur, and MS and PhD from the EE department, IIT Madras. He was a post-doctoral fellow at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL), Lausanne. His research interests are in the general area of communications and signal processing.
