Loraine Daughter has lived on top of a secluded mountain with her step-grandmother since 10 years old. Having charted from one foster home to another for as long as she remembered, she was pretty set on a future of living alone. Besides, she was not completely alone. There were horses and the beautiful mountain to keep her company. Until one day her grandmother decided to step out of the mountain. It was something completely foreign to Loraine’s teaching since young. A Daughter never stepped off the mountain. It should only bring forth disaster. And a disaster did happen in the form of a virile man. A man that was a threat to her very heart!

Excerpt:
Lori held on to the purple plush towel wrapped securely around her as she slowly crept past the door. Even after a nice shower, she found herself quickly sweating. In another few minutes, it would defeat the purpose of a shower. That was how nervous she was to escape from the man. In her haste, she forgot to get fresh clothes. Only when she stepped out of the shower and saw her clothes in the laundry basket did she remember her error.
Casten’s voice at dinner was so stern and serious that he terrified her…confused her…the emotion within her was unclear…and she was definitely not excited…was she? No. Granny D was stern but Casten was different. Authoritative and broke no arguments. Was she making the right decision letting him stay? She should call Aunt Lizzie’s husband just in case. She never met the man but then Aunt Lizzie always mentioned him fondly. Surely no one would speak so happily about someone bad?
“Forgot your clothes?” A masculine drawl whispered behind her. She stilled and gulped. She was so disoriented over the events transpired so far that she did not hear his approach. Again!
“Yes.” She whispered. Another silence permeated the air. She berated herself to move but she stood still like a statue. Water droplets slid down her neck like a cold finger descending, making her shiver in anticipation.
“You should dry your hair.” She shuddered at his touch. His finger against her skin transferred his heat to her body, boiling her nerve cells. Burning warmth gathered at the apex between her legs and she squirmed. Finally, could not withstand the pressure anymore, she turned around and his expression froze her in place once again. She watched as his eyes raked over her body from head to toe with obvious shock and something akin to pain.
It did not take a mind reader to tell her which parts of her he wanted to see. The towel covered her chest and barely her ass. She squirmed, conscious of her barely concealed body.
Casten let go of her hair with a slight tug and used a finger to touch her shoulder. His finger pressed firmly on her naked skin, setting off a rippling effect of shivers down to her toes. His eyes returned back to her eyes, burning with intensity.
The sexual tension was making her heady with need. A need she did not realize she possessed until this very moment. What was it called again? Lust? Desire? There was certainly desire to be touched. She could not wait to have him continue. Continue with whatever he wanted to do. She very much wished him to hurry it up and put her out of her misery.
His finger continued to dip lower until he croaked it in her towel and began to tug.
