An appealing tale of the return to his roots of a Scottish Clan Chief.
Hugh MacAimish, on inheriting the chieftainship of the Clan Seumas, and gaining the right to wear Eagle's Feathers in his cap, bought the ancestral land of the clan in Western Highlands of Scotland. He was filled with enthusiasm to revive the clan spirit and to re-establish a community of the clan's people. He was the vice-president of the Atlantic State Railroad and, as well as the clan chief, was also the chief of the Clan Seumas Society of New York who thoroughly approved of his plans.
He left New York and took up residence in his Scottish estate of Glen Enich and set to work.
In trying to put these plans into effect he met resistance - but also romance.
