An Ancient War

Emaline walks down the dark street much more quickly than she would during the day. She tells herself to slow down and scolds herself for indulging silly, childish fears--she's thirteen, after all!--but continues to hurry. There's something spooky about this neighborhood at night and the sooner she can get back home, the better.
She doesn't even see her assailants until they grab her.
In a moment, Emaline's world changes forever. She finds herself held hostage by Violet and the sinister obeah as they try to coax Anthony, one of the Christ-following magi, out of hiding to come to her rescue. The situation is perilous, but Emaline's fear turns to amazement when Violet conjures a dark blue fireball out of thin air. When red flames suddenly start flickering through Emaline's fingers, burning the flesh of the obeah holding her, she finds herself caught up in the middle of a 2,000-year-old war between the obeah and the magi.
A Desperate Situation

Anthony helps Emaline escape from the obeah, but Violet and the others refuse to leave her alone. When Emaline gets kidnapped and held hostage, it's up to the outnumbered magi to mount a dangerous rescue mission.
In the Tradition of Narnia, Wonderland and Hogwarts...

Emaline's Gift is a Christian fantasy novel full of magic, excitement and suspense. Great for teens and adults who love fantastical adventures or for parents to read aloud as an action-packed bedtime story, the first book in The Magi Chronicles is an exhilarating introduction to a whole new world--and the God who is always in control!
