The author captures the essence of our very thoughts if God exists in her passionate poem “God, Are You Listening?”
I know I shouldn’t doubt you
That indeed You are in everything
From the day sky so blue
To the Sunset in the Evening
Daily Your power I see
But then why sometimes is it so hard to believe?
She then takes on a trip to believing in God in “Thank You, Jesus”.
But most of all, Jesus, thank You for Your love
A love so deep and powerful that it has transcended through time
Never wavering…but remaining true
True to those who choose to believe in You.
She then slides into celebrating God with lyrics like “Dancing for Jesus”
Now that you are set free
And cleansed of spiritual debris
Let’s praise our Lord with song and dance
Yes, dance for Jesus like there’ll never be another chance
Stomp your feet on the head of the serpent
For that’s where he must remain
Yes, stomp him down into the ground
Now raise your hands and praise the Lord
For long ago He declared victory
and “Call On God”:
Hope still resides in our small city
Just call on God
The only one with the remedy
Bow, pray, and seek his face
Only then will this city fall to His Grace
Call to God
The only One who can change this place
