THRILLS FROM THE BIBLE

Moses’ Biblical Staff Found

What boring life you and I live. Let’s admit it: We don’t get the excitement that we deserve. Wouldn’t you like to spice up your day with a bit of adventure? I know I would, and so does Claire Williams.

Claire is beautiful, intelligent and strong, but she’s stuck with a low-pay job as a graphic designer. Moreover, New York City doesn’t offer the adventure to which she was looking forward when she moved from her small hometown. In short, she’s miserable, but there is little she can do about it . . . until the old man who lives in the attic approaches her with an outlandish proposition.

Enter Moses’ staff – the very same staff that, according to the Bible, Moses used to part the sea for the Israelites who were fleeing Egypt. Apparently, the old man knows where it is and wants to pass this knowledge on to Claire before he dies. As to how he came into possession of the relic, that’s an amazing story that I relate in the book.

I’m sure we can agree that recovering the staff is an exciting proposition, but it turns out to be not so simple. Among the many obstacles, Claire needs money, which a Russian oligarch will supply in return for the staff. Also, as Claire learns, staying alive is not guaranteed when a bunch of cutthroat fanatics want the staff destroyed. Oh, and I forgot to mention: She also needs to convince an Israeli engineer to help her, without actually telling him what she is after.

At first, I didn’t realize the kind of roller coaster ride on which Claire is embarking. Not only she has so much on her young shoulders, but she is also running the risk of falling in love against her better judgment.

There is only so much that I can explain in these few lines and you really need to see for yourself what I’m talking about. (Don’t rely only on the stellar reviews pasted below.) So, to get a feel for the excitement that this story delivers, read the free preview pages of the book now!

"Kfir succeeds in creating a story fashion on both history and biblical tradition and contemporary issues and the result is a thriller that defies ignoring. It is an important book on many levels but especially satisfying as a fictional suspense filled novel." – San Francisco Review of Books

"A gripping story that maintains its momentum with an array of surprises and imperiled characters." - Kirkus Reviews

"An intriguing blend of action, mystery, and suspense" - Books & Benches - Reviewer's Choice

"Exodus '95 challenges the reader with many powerful, thought-provoking moments that take the story of a legendary staff and its powers and accelerate it to new levels of intrigue and interpersonal connections." - D. Donovan, Senior Reviewer, Midwest Book Review
