HOUSE OF CARDS: Ultimately, “medicine” here in the United States and much of the developed countries around the globe has become synonymous with the use of medications and surgery. Unfortunately, with the amount of money involved and the money at stake, this has become a house of cards upon which our health, our risk of chronic disease and mainstream medicine's treatment of chronic disease stands. Basically, when your doctor writes a prescription for some drug, he or she is relying on medical research that has been done on this product to support his or her decision. Your doctor believes he or she is doing right for you. Unfortunately, there are many points at which this belief system fails.

LIFESTYLE TIPS: Since I’ve made it very clear that lifestyle is the most important determining factor for chronic diseases, I thought I’d finish the book with some powerful tips to help you prevent chronic disease. If you happen to have a chronic disease already, these same tips will help you manage or eliminate it much more effectively.
