Jim Jenkins is a randy old archaeologist. He is well studied in the prehistory of our earliest progenitors, from ancient Ethiopia to the Fertile Crescent. That homeland is dear to him, especially the crescent bit, but he isn't ready to die there. Together with its native flesh, however, his waning virility may get the best of him.
This is a slipstream adventure story about the death experience, eternal recurrence, and self-perception of temporal selves caught in a four-dimensional demise. They take place, or don't, in a hospital bed, magical swamp, and timeless womb. Where their settings ultimately lie is an open question, but Jim and his fleshy-breasted nurse are disturbed, in course, by a surprising influx of sentient semen.
