Too many Christians and non-Christians alike have very inconsistent views about God. The Bible itself portrayed different images of God in His interactions with men throughout the dispensations, leading to many questions that most of the time, we do not summon the courage to ask, lest we be labeled as judgmental, controversial, or heretic. Is He a loving father or a slave master that must be dreaded? Is He merciful or vengeful? Is He demanding or giving? Does He do good or evil? Or is He a combination of all of these contradictory characteristics?

These contradictory, and sometimes irreconcilable, pictures of God have perplexed man and left him confused about the character of God and exactly how to relate with Him. We can only resolve these conflicts and come to a place of rest when we find the answer to this question: Did the people of the Old actually see God?

In this insightful narrative, the author has traversed through the Bible to answer this question. He has also shown how the neglect of this truth has led to myriads of teachings and practices in the church today that are not in harmony with the new covenant.

I invite you on a journey of discovery - of finding the truth in God’s word that is able to set you free from the shackles of religion and allow you to live the glorious life that we have been given in full and without struggles.
