Selecting fonts can seem daunting or pointless, because some ereaders by default display all ebooks using the device's internal fonts. At least until you realize whether or not you can override these defaults. This produces misconceptions among readers [and authors]:
- they assume this is true for all devices; and/or
- readers then see a particular vendor as the “publisher” in part or whole of that particular ebook edition.
Both assumptions are false....
