In a land that eclipses reality, my heart found peace.
I have finally been laid to rest, no longer plagued by the havoc that pursued my soul. I have finally found what so many men yearn for; a place to rest my head. A home to embrace. A fire to warm me, when the nights are at their coldest. And it is in my home I will remain, now and forevermore. Come what may.
I have not passed from the mortal realm, sweet one. I have, however, passed from a world that knew only restless nights. I left behind my war-torn nights with reckless abandon, embraced by the new world that breathes within me. I am alive, one with the wind and sunshine. I can breathe, no longer plagued by the past that consumed me.
I am Raymond, Lord of a restored world.
I abandoned that name, a long while ago. And I never thought I'd welcome it back, with open arms. The name carried so much tragedy with it; the downfall of the Cornwell Home, the conspiracies that enveloped my home, and so much more. It reminded me of the horrors I endured, under Delcus's name. While Delcus might not have been solely responsible for Cornwell's downfall, I bore no fondness for the name 'Raymond'. I swore to forever leave that name behind. But now-
Facing the future, I know that I cannot abandon the past.
