If you found a letter, a very old letter, from your great-grandparents in your grandmothers cedar chest and after you read it would you like to go back in time and be her, even for just a moment? Emily, who is fourteen and going through tough times in school. She has bright red hair and a feisty attitude to go with it. She visits her grandmother in Florida and finds four letters in her grandmothers cedar chest. They were very old letters, type- written in 1934, addressed to Emilys great-grandmother. Emily reads these letters and starts to dream about going back in time to find out what her great-grandmother was like back in 1934. Her grandmother takes Emily back to her great-grandmothers birth place of Massachusetts and shows Emily the change from the time her great-grandmother lived there. Emily also learns a lesson about bullies and how to hold her temper.
