Language is a precious and wonderful gift. Words are diamonds, and infinitely more precious. And yet, so often language is thoroughly inadequate in its ability to properly communicate the immeasurablle depths of the human heart, and soul, and spirit, and mind. Poetry is mankind’s visible attempt to express and expose our invisible yet tangble otherness.
I am a settled and searching soul, unafraid to explore the chasms and corners of our human fragrance, both my own and that of others I know. It is a dangerous, beautiful, rewarding and often deeply painful journey but I do belive that in the end, will prove be worth it. Not that we can truly measure poetry, but rather that we are giving poetry a chance to measure us.
