More than 200 years ago, a young British missionary accompanied by a few other newly converted Africans arrived in Dimankutu with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. He looked harmless but mysterious yet the then Dimankutuan king Herodus Lami allowed him to stay. A small Church started by Zechariah Rawlings in a log cabin became the center of a nation wide Christian Revival that swept through the entire kingdom. God himself practically came down from his throne by mighty miracles and mysterious acts despite the stiff resistances put up by the gates of hell.
The very stiff opposition from the King and the worshippers of Asanaga; a goddess of fertility and the national religion of the Dimankutu Empire was ineffectual; not when many erstwhile idolatrous people who hitherto dwelt in utter spiritual darkness saw the Great Light and were ready to die in the rain forest for their new found Faith. Holy blood spilled by wicked and demonic kings made up the Christian Spiritual foundation that led to the severance of Mekutu region from Dimankutu Empire forever.
