Let me just start out by saying that I'm not a writer, but God gave me this story to tell and I'm going to try my best to tell it. You will notice that I have a tendency to write like I talk, so this story may ramble a bit. I have been told that I ramble off on too many tangents when I try to tell something. Sooo- let me go on and apologize for that to start with.
It really dosen't matter who I am but I guess that I will tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Peyton Langford. I am 49 years old, married, with two children. My wife and I have been married for, well since 1988. (I hate trying to do math in my head, so I'll just state the year.) My wife's name is Irene and we have two daughters: Jessica and Lindsey. Jessica is 15 and Lindsey is 12. I am very proud of my family. They all pitch in to help me on the farm. Like I said, I am not a writer, what I am, is a farmer. I farm outside of the little town of Autaugaville, AL. I'm not the best farmer in the world; I'm probably not the best anything. I'm surely not the best Christian, not even a very good one. That's why writing this dosen't seem like something that I would do.
When you're reading this, please don't quit because it seems to be going nowhere. I could tell that almost everyone that I told this story to, about middle ways, thought that, and some even said that, "this really is taking a long time". It rambles around and around but, at the end, it comes together in such a way that it absolutely astonished me. (I know that "astonished" is a really big word that I never use; but, I couldn't think of any other word that really described how astonishing that this ordeal was.)
This whole story is about me getting a new, well new to me, truck and the circumstances that surrounded the purchase. When it was over, I knew that God had performed a miracle in my life (not the first one that I have received) and provided me with the truck that I had really wanted. It wasn't until a couple of days later that I realized that it may not have been all about me getting the truck, but about me getting the story. I have tried to tell everyone that I see, but I hope by writing this story, it will reach many more people than I would have come in contact with. I hope that it will have as biga' (I told you that I write like I talk.) impact on your life as it has mine.
