At various times we have heard Christian teachers whom we respect greatly teaching that God’s sovereignty in election and man’s free will to accept or reject Jesus Christ for the salvation of their souls can only be reconciled in the mind of God. We were never satisfied with such a teaching. Fortunately God has graciously showed us how He could elect certain people to be saved from the eternal consequences of their sin and yet maintain the position that people make their own choice to believe or not believe in Jesus Christ for the salvation of their souls. The two positions seem diametrically opposed but nevertheless they are both true and as seen in the book, are quite easily reconciled in the Word of God.
