The legend “Gray Eagle and his Five Brothers” is a very kind and instructive tale about a falcon family of 4 brothers and 2 sisters that have lost their parents while being too young to fly. And the eldest brother – Gray Eagle – had to take care of his sublings. One day Gray Eagle went hunting to provide food for his family. He was a good hunter. But he got a misfortune and broke one of his wings. That was the more to be regretted because the winter was coming soon and the children were only waiting to become stronger and more expert to set out on the journey to the south. Gray Eagle’s brothers found him. But he told them that they should travel south otherwise all of them would die. His family disagreed with him and started to take care of him, remembering that Gray Eagle had been taking care of them before.
