Serving a twenty-six-year career in the US Coast Guard, you see things develop that you know can become volatile. Being conventional, or routine, we always conduct business as usual. That’s when our enemies can start being unconventional.

In World War II, German naval forces brought many nations to their knees doing just that. “The Grey Wolf” refers to a submarine. Their destructive power was amplified by using it in a very unconventional method, attacking “soft targets.” The type XXI Elektroboat was a futuristic weapon, created in the 1940’s. Its technology was ahead of its time. In the USA, laws and treaties exist in our nation, which prevent armed US Naval ships and aircraft from operating in the Great Lakes. A dangerous scenario, leaving only US Coast Guard forces to defend against an attack. It tells the story of a young, orphaned girl who rose to command a combat submarine. She went on to initiate a nuclear strike against our power grids, and attacked shipping and water supplies. It also shows how, with unlimited money and resources, a modern-day terror organization can harm our nation...if no one tries to stop them.
