ABOUT THE BOOK

It is estimated that across the United States, 6.1 million people struggle to conceive as a result of infertility issues. As far as the childbearing population of the US is concerned, this accounts for around 11% of women, or more than 1 in 10. Fortunately, impaired fertility very rarely means that a woman will never be able to conceive, as the American Pregnancy Association estimates that around 85-90% of cases can be treated either with medication or surgery, leading to a successful pregnancy.

Today, there are many procedures that aid reproduction, allowing those who suffer from infertility to successfully conceive. Such procedures include natural self help techniques as well as medications, surgery, and assisted reproduction therapies.

EXCERPT FROM THE BOOK

When you're trying your best to eat the right foods, take all the recommended vitamins and minerals, and coping with some fairly unpleasant side effects, it can be easy to overlook the fact that you are doing something wonderful. The ability to create new life is a miracle, and just knowing that should help get you through the most trying of times.

To help you focus on the enjoyable parts of being pregnancy, it can help to keep track of your baby's development. It is very exciting to see your baby grow and get stronger in preparation for their arrival into the world.

Month 1: The first month of pregnancy is a busy time for new life; it's when conception, fertilization and implantation take place. Your baby is only about 2mm long but physical characteristics including gender and hair and eye color have already been determined.

Month 2: Your baby is now a fetus. Arm and legs and major organs like the heart, neural tube and liver have begun to form. Sex organs are becoming visible and the eyes, mouth, ears and bones are also starting to develop. Your baby is around ¾ inch long at this point.
