Sun, sea, sand and a gorgeous mystery man. Has Brenda found herself in the right place at the wrong time? Or is he the wrong man?

Set in Surfers Paradise, Australia, against a heady backdrop of meter maids in tiaras, gold lamé bikinis and heels, Brenda appears to have it all. She’s got the looks, the uniform, and even the standard-issue bag of coins for topping up expired meters.

What she doesn’t have is enough cash to cover the rent hike she’s just been landed with. Faced with sleeping on the beach or in her car, there isn't much Brenda won't do to land herself some decent accommodation.

Enter Stefano her knight in shining sports car. While he might be the meal ticket she's been looking for, Brenda can’t decide if he’s the right man for her, or the simply right enough for now?

If you think risque British humour with a seventies Australian spin might be your thing, break out your heels and tiara and get stuck in.

WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING:

I went into this book knowing it was only a short prequel. I knew that when I bought it. That doesn't mean that I'm happy about it being so short! GIVE ME MORE! I want more stories about being a meter maid wearing a gold bikini. I want more close calls. I want more disastrous liaisons. Damn it, I wanted this to be a longer book. It's too good to be so short.
Funny, nostalgic, but too short... ;) 5-STARS

This book was a crack up! It's a good quick read leading into the That Seventies Series, which I will definitely be checking out! It tells the story of Brenda, a gold-lame bikini clad meter maid who wants the good life. She has an interesting way of going about obtaining that, but it makes for a great story! A married man, a wife who doesn't like to share, car chases, nudity, and a stand-off - what more could you ask for? 4-STARS

Lots of laughs from the Antics of a poor young woman who wants the good life and has a unique idea on how to get it without doing boring jobs. Life doesn't go to plan though. A fast paced short read. Can't wait to read the rest of the series. 5-STARS
