“I thought,” he said, pressing his fingers into her back and releasing pressure with each knot, “I told you not to get in fights with men bigger than you.”
“Then I'd be pretty limited in selection.” She said, through gritted teeth. He smiled and worked on another kink hidden deep under her shoulder-blade. He slid his hand under her shoulder to reposition her, and his fingers slid just over her upper breast, making her tighten reflexively. The tingling below that had been subdued was returning, and she tried to put it out of her mind.
“Indeed.”
“There were only two, Cecil. And they happened to be wanted for-” she inhaled sharply as he kneaded a tender portion, “...rape and theft.”
“Well good for you, but you still at least ought to have called one of the ex-militia lads to help.”
“No... time.” She managed to get out, before concentrating on the exquisite pain he was creating with those long, slender fingers.
“Of course. My apologies for trying to keep you alive.” He continued the massage and she relaxed as her endorphins started compensating for the pain and the liniment worked its magic on her stiff muscles. His fingers slid from the curve of her neck down her spine, soothing the pain out when he reached her hips. She was ticklish despite the firm pressure he used, shifting a bit when he reached the sides of her waist. He had a knack for finding each little pocket of pain and easing it out, no matter how deep within her muscles it lay.
A tickle of hair on her back startled her, and she gasped when she felt his smooth lips pressed against the sensitive nape of her neck, setting her nerves on fire. She let out a long sigh, hiding the slight hitch in her throat, and turned to give him a sidelong look. The dark eyes that met her were alight with concern and desire, and he took advantage of her loss for words.
