It all started at Ventrella's Barber Shop in Norwalk, Connecticut in the early 1960s. After a stint in the U.S. Army he opened the Village Barber Shop in Wilton, then got a part time job writing sports for the Wilton Bulletin. Next it was on to a radio career that spanned seven years from WINE in Brookfield to WNLK in Norwalk, followed by a television career that took him first to Fort Wayne, Indiana and later to Seattle. He worked for the Seattle Seahawks for 11 seasons, covering three Super Bowls then ran for U.S. Congress in 2016. As he went from town to town, job to job, experience to experience Tony kept one theme in mind, "Learn all you can from other people, help as many people as you can, never take yourself too seriously and no matter what, keep smiling."
