There are no new or recent books that address the real-life experiences of sexual harassment of young people on the way to, during, and on the way home from school.

This straight-forward guide is written with youth, educators, parents, and activists in mind. It has uses for all these readers, and serves as a model for organizing young people to address their own problems with violence and harassment.

The information for the report was gathered from the largest public school system in the nation: 1,176 middle and high school students attending 90 different schools throughout Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Manhattan participated in the study.

This handbook not only reports on harrassment in NYC high schools, but also provides affective guidelines and tools on how to teach about and deal with sexual harassment in classrooms and streets today.

A documentary by the same name has been produced and distributed by GGE about sexual harassment. It has been seen at NYC events and online, and has created a readership for this project.

Girls for Gender Equity (GGE) is widely recognized around NY for their commitment to improving the physical, psycological, social, and economic development of girls and women.
