As Christians we know that it was not hard to get saved. Jesus has done the hard work and our part was a genuine prayer to receive by faith. Holiness is ours in the same way. When Christ said, "it is finished," at Calvary, it meant that He had obtained for us everything we need for a satisfying and successful life. Nobody should miss out on the blessing of holiness. Salvation was a one time supernatural event in the Christians life. Holiness is also a one time supernatural event in the believers life. Receiving Jesus meant you became a Christian. Understanding the Bibles revelation about holiness enables you to become holy. Of course it is beyond us humanly speaking. But so is salvation. Every thing we are and need to become is given to us through the finished atonement of Jesus. It has nothing to do with struggle. It is about receiving and believing based upon what God has revealed to us in the Bible. Jesus did the hard work. We do the receiving.
