Andrew Lang was a Scottish prolific author, mostly known as the collector of folk and fairy tales. “How Isuro the Rabbit Tricked Gudu” is a fairy tale entered in “The Orange Fairy Book”, that was published in 1906. In a hot country, where the forests are very thick and dark, and the rivers are swift and strong, there a strange pair of friends lives. Now one of the friends is a big white rabbit named Isuro, and the other is a tall baboon called Gudu. One day they start a long journey to visit Gudu’s betrothed, and after a short time Isuro discovers, that Gudu cheats: the greedy baboon deceives the naive rabbit and under false pretences takes the better fruits and eats off Isuro.
