Hyman "Curly" Holtz was a Murder Inc. associate who was in charge of the then newly organized drug traficking operation. Murder Inc. operated out of the Brownsville section of Brooklyn, New York. Newspaper accounts date Holtz's disappearance to 1932. Some sources report that law enforcement continued looking for Curly among Murder Inc fugitives as late as 1939. My e-book also reveals the annulment of a 1920s marriage Holtz made with a Brooklyn woman. Having wed his spouse under false pretenses, a judge granted the annulment to the former Augusta Lance. Special Prosecutor Thomas Dewey was a key figure in breaking up Murder Inc., especially its infamous leaders Louis "Lepke" Buchalter and Jacob "Gurrah" Shapiro.
