Amber never wanted children. When three unruly and nasty stepchildren are dumped on her doorstep, she explodes. Her lazy husband thinks she should just take them without complaining. When he does the unthinkable, she is left to rear his children. She holds her head high and makes their lives meaningful with help from shards of Grams mirror. The kids try her patience, but she is firm with discipline and lavish with love.
