Cody Turner is a typical kid who, along with his friends, is entering intermediate school. Right off the bat Cody lets you know he is not a wimpy kid and he is not writing a diary. His escapades prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that he is anything but wimpy.
He and his friends find the step up from grade school to middle school to be more than they expected.
First and probably worse is with more teachers comes more homework. As Cody says, "I know people say I tend to exaggerate but seriously. We get tons of homework."
They also find out some kids who are in sixth grade like to bully the new fifth graders. Cody has his own way of dealing with that.
Then there are girls. When you bring girls into the equation things might get a little testy between friends. Cody says "What the heck. We were only eleven. We never had these kinds of problems before. I didn't think girl problems would creep in until at least junior high. I mean I like girls and all but we’re kinda young to date or anything."
Kids of all ages will relate to what Cody feels. Plenty of hilarious drawings.
