Emilie was tempted to ask him how old he was immediately after she overheard the conversation he had with his mother. “Actually am 22 and half. I will be 23 next month” he explained. Emilie knew she could not dare accomplished her mission I am 3years older than this guy for heaven’s sake. “I knew you were going to come looking for me. I should have been the one to get to you but we never exchanged contacts. So what brought you here?” he tried to inquire as she stood up from the chair. “I came to get my handkerchief. You never gave me back after seizing it from me.” She tried to be very serious as she responded.
He just smiled then offered her a cup of ice cream he had in the fridge. She could not resist the offer.
“When I went back to the spot where we met and ordered this I could not help but think of you. I just got another and here we are having it together. Am sure you think it’s a mere coincidence but I will say it is destiny playing its role in our lives and we do not need to neglect it” he uttered gracefully as they enjoyed their ice cream.
It was already 7:30pm when they were through and Emilie was ready to leave.
“I want to go back home so I can rest properly against tomorrow. So can you hand over the handkerchief I came to collect so I can get going already?” she explained
Her reason did not seem good enough for Jayson. He promised to give her the handkerchief if only she gave him her phone number or the address of her hospital. She gave him the hospital address in her mind she knew it was going to be hard for him to see her during working hours. What she did not know was that this guy was smarter.
He walked her out right to her car, gave her a good bye peck and watched her drive away.
The next day while she was in the hospital she was hoping to see him but her never showed up. Two days later he did not still appear so she gave up ever seeing him again.
