After a mad dash across Adelaide Jack is faced with a thousand schoolgirls. 'I spotted Anastasia, then the world disintegrated. An imported black BMW with its door open, stood by the kerb and a round faced, smiling blonde man in a trendy looking suit, bright red shirt and running shoes appeared from inside the car, grabbed Anastasia and pushed her into the back seat. A second man, the driver of the BMW, this one wearing a Hawaiian shirt, started the engine and the BMW pulled out ready to join the stream of traffic and make a getaway with Anastasia in the back. I had to act fast. I jumped into the four wheel drive that had blocked the road, the engine was still running, I threw it into reverse and at some incredible speed I backed her into the front right hand side of the BMW, I aimed there to avoid Anastasia. I caused one hell of a mess. The BMW was a wreck and going nowhere fast.'

Reviews: 'Jack Hamma is fantastic, cool in any situation and always ready to crack a joke. He is like James Bond, but not so smooth and with a sense of humour. As always with one of Jack's stories the pace is like being on a roller coaster. There are plenty of bad guys for Jack to deal with, an annoying girl called Anastasia and the most awesome dog in the world called Basher.'

'I stumbled across this quite by accident while looking for murder mystery comfort reads. By the end of the first few pages I was thinking "What have I done?" I read on in the same ghoulish way that people gape at a dreadful accident scene whether because I am masochistic or I could not believe it could be so, so dire, I am still not sure. I kept reading. I finished the book. I must be a glutton for punishment because I then downloaded and read the next book in the series, and the next, and the next again. They are addictive in the worst way, like cheeseburgers, chocolate and salt and vinegar crisps. Now I am 3/4 of the way through the next series. I am positive there is not a cliche, a pun, a bad joke or a ridiculous piece of slapstick the author has managed to miss. Ridiculous! In fact I didn't know there were so many puns in the English languageā€¦and all this in a fast moving, action packed, suspense filled adventure series. At less than $1 a book, I feel like a thief myself and I would heartily recommend everyone who enjoys murder, mayhem, spoofs, satire and slapstick to read this book as I can almost guarantee you'll proceed to read them all.'
