Kane rose to his feet. “Alright, it is getting late, and unlike me, you are not a creature of the night,” he said wryly. “Now that you are well-fed, I am going to let you get some rest.”
“Wait! When will I see you again?” Secret all but grabbed his arm.
“If you would like, I can stop in tomorrow night,” he replied, smiling.
“Yeah,” she said, before she could stop herself. “I would like that very much.”
She walked with him back to the front door and reached to open it. As she did so, he stopped her and pulled her to him. The moment that they had both wanted was finally here.
He joined his mouth to hers, and it was as if they had always been together. For Secret, it was exactly as she had dreamed it would be when she was lusting after his mouth earlier. He kissed her gently at first, nibbling and using the tip of his tongue to trace her mouth. Then he sucked at her bottom lip just before sliding his tongue into her mouth.
Her arms snaked up around his neck almost as if she couldn’t control herself.
This, she thought as she clasped her hands behind his neck, is exactly what I dreamed it would be.
Giving herself completely over to the experience of feeling his mouth on hers, his hands moving up and down her back, and his body pressed tightly against her own, Secret was, in that moment, perfectly and completely happy in a way that she had never been in her life.
