Indaba! explores how communities can live together amid differences of view, backgrounds, cultures, and various demographic characteristics. Based on research of the Continuing Indaba and Mutual Listening project that spanned four continents (including North America), the book's purpose is to show how people can work together despite differences and conflict. The author points to ways in which conflict can be both beneficial and productive for all involved if it is approached in a mutually respectful manner such as through an indaba process, offering insights into how indaba can be used to build relationships across differences, including what makes indabas effective or not.
