One day God went to the Garden of Eden in the cool of the evening to have His usual fellowship with Adam and Eve. They were not at the usual spot. Adam and Eve went into hiding, prompting God to billow out ‘Adam, where art thou?’ God was moved by the condition he found Adam and his wife. Left in the state God found them, it would have been total disaster. But God had compassion on mankind and took steps to meet that most important of all human needs. That was the origin of Grace.
God is no longer moved by need. He is moved by faith. However, grace is no license for lasciviousness. The burden of grace is higher than the demands of the Mosaic Law.
There are many axioms one can derive from the Scriptures. With gratitude to the Spirit of Grace the following statements on God’s unmerited favor are presented for your edification, encouragement and comfort as we look forward to the soon return of the King of kings and Lord of Lords – the originator of grace and the author and finisher of our faith.
