In Book 2, the captain finds that it isn’t as easy as he planned. The planet is unforgiving and the explorers are not what he expected. Instead of each gender falling in line with his plan, there are surprises and undercurrents that seek to undermine his cause.
Some of the women find submission to the males undesirable—though other female crew members have no qualms. And some of the men find pleasure in submission to a woman instead of domination.
The explorers have breathable oxygen and food to last a year before they will need to find new ways to sustain themselves, so they begin to look for alternatives well in advance of that cruel deadline. The planet is desolate—and dangers lurk beneath the desolation. Strange plants are found, but will they nourish the crew or change them?
Then the crew comes across signs of something...else on the planet. Something that doesn’t fit into any known category of intelligent lifeforms. But could this new Something be more intelligent than it seems? Could it view Earthlings as the specimens to be examined…?
Meanwhile, the captain’s attempts to create his vision of an ideal relationship between men and women through bondage and submission continues, challenged but unabated.
