As a boy growing up on a dairy farm in Wisconsin, Brad Steuerwald remembers Zion Church and looking up at the front of the church and the stained glass window next to the altar, showing Jesus coming out of his tomb. He wondered who this man was. After many years of searching, he finally decided that the historical Jesus could be found in his demonstrations -- "signs" -- of the Jewish festivals -- Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Hanukkah, Passover and Pentecost. "Jesus: What Really Happened" is written to demonstrate that Jesus spent his ministry demonstrating, giving "signs" of these festivals. When Jesus finally broke out of his cave-tomb, leaving his face-cloth with his image, this was taken as the ultimate sign of Passover.
