Chapter one presents the death and resurrection in the light of Jesus role as prophet. In chapter two Luke continues his presentation of the death and resurrection in the light of the Passover and the New Covenant. In chapter three Luke reveals to us the supreme mystery of the death and resurrection of Jesus through three experiences on the part of the disciples; the discovery of the empty tomb, the appearance of Jesus to two disciples on the road to Emmaus and the appearance of Jesus to the community in Jerusalem.
