Khobargade affair has seriously hurt Indo-American Relations. Ms Khobargade is accused of lying on her visa application form for her nanny but she could not be prosecuted as she had diplomatic immunity. Based on evidence made public it is highly likely that Ms. Khobargade who considered herself champion for oppressed women was paying about $3.5 an hour to her maid but she has denied it through her attorney and we may never learn the truth.
