Commander, Fort Leonard Wood Dental Health Activity. (2014-2017). COL Alex Eke attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where he received a Doctor in Dental Medicine degree in 1995. He was commissioned in the US Army Dental Corps in 1998 as a Captain and headed to his first assignment at Fort Hood Dental Activity, Billy Johnson Dental Clinic at Fort Hood, Texas.
Eke’s military and civilian education includes: Officers Basic and Advanced Courses, The Intermediate Level Education (ILE) Two Year General Hospital Residency, Brookdale General Medical Center Brooklyn (New York City, New York from 1995-1997), Army’s Advanced Education General Dentistry Program (2006-2008 at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii).
Eke’s awards include the Meritorious Service Medal with one Oak Leaf cluster, the Army Commendation Medal with five Oak Leaf clusters, the Army Achievement Medal, the National Defense Medal, Korean Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Expedition, Overseas Service Medal, and NATO ribbon.
Eke is married. They have three daughters and one son.
