Lily's eyes went wide as a bolt shot out from the tip of the wand and hit her in the neck. The beam of energy swiftly wrapped around her entirely, squeezing as the heat from the blast radiated into her smooth skin. Her whole body went squeamish, and then the world around her rocked out of equilibrium as her head tumbled to the carpet and landed face-down, before doing several complete revolutions towards the wannabe magician.
"Ouch! Oh Jesus I'm gonna be sick!"
Greg's act deflated as he watched his girlfriend's red hair swirling around a tumbling mass of eyes, ears, and mouth. After the thump, she rolled and stopped with her head tilted to the side.
"Lily? Are you okay?"
Lily spat some of the carpet fibers out of her mouth. "Besides losing my body, yeah I'm just frickin' dandy. As long as I can get my money back if you don't fix things after this is over."
