Jean Lang (1857-1932) was a writer and folklorist. She was interested in ancient mythology and its origins. In her opinion the mythology of the west resembled that of the east as they had the same root: the ancient people of the west and of the east saw and met similar phenomena. 'Latona And The Rustics' — is an ancient Greek legend that was included in 'A Book Of Myths'. It tells us about Latona, the goddess of night and darkness. One day she gets Zeus' attention and the hatred of his wife — Hera. Hera decides to punish hre rival and makes her an exile, casting down to the Earth… What will happen to a former goddess there? Read this classical legend and you will know!
