Most people, including myself are afraid of being honest because of the fear of the outcome.   We may feel that telling a fib will be the easy way out. This is why Layla gives another example of how kids can handle that fear and try to bring whatever situation they may be in to a better outcome.  Not only does Layla demonstrates honesty in this book, but she also shows how to give back more by apologizing.  She goes out her way to add an extra good deed with her apology for telling a fib.  In conclusion, Layla the Ladybug feels better about herself and she feels less stress.  I want to inspire all kids using the character Layla the Ladybug, to overcome that feeling of fear and to be honest.  Try to handle a difficult situation with honesty, and follow it up by demonstrating a good deed.
