*** NOTE: This is a shorter version of the original "Castaway Island". ***
I've received feedback that the beginning was too slow, so I consolidated the first six chapters into a single chapter that leads directly to the interrupted journey.
I chose to use the same cover art, slightly modified, because it is the same story.
I also published it separately because I don't want those who have copies of the original to suddenly lose five chapters when they synchronize their reader
#####
The Council had decided the Earth needed to be sterilized once again. The experiment needed to be terminated and restarted with more controlled genetics. Zardoc disagreed, but she needed help. The Council had done it before and they were prepared to do it again.
Sadly, Bob, Jayna, and Makenna had just buried their beloved Jennifer. The three of them knew they needed to do something completely off the wall to celebrate her life, so they decided to take their boat, Lovely Jenny, for an open-ended cruise.
After an extended say in Cabo San Lucas, they needed to get moving, so they stocked Lovely Jenny and set sail, but it turned into an interrupted journey when they entered a portal to a time warp and ended up in a lagoon with no escape.
At Castaway Island, their new friend Keet was continually giving them far reaching surprises. Could they learn what was required?
Changing the human psyche would be difficult at best. Will the changes be made in time to save humanity from the Council's edict?
