At the turn of the new millennium, the visions I call Light Showings began. I sat in prayer in the early mornings before our family awakened and got ready for work and school. With my eyes closed, I saw in my mind's eye, a picture of the most ordinary thing: one day a raindrop, the next a thimble or grain of sand and so on.
This simple picture would spin until its form dissolved in a whirling vortex of light. How this vortex became a sacred doorway into the Light, I do not know. But I was invited across the veil into a deeper dimension of reality—a world many would call heaven.
During this pre-dawn prayer and meditation, an angel companioned me into the spiritual world. There, I was acutely aware of other angels or lights beings who, as I was shown, were at work in the great task of Love. They continually interceded to assist our world. Several times I found myself in the indescribable presence of God, who I often call The One of Many Names. At other times, a guide I believed to be of American Indian lineage gave me teachings about the coming, tumultuous events upon earth if human beings do not become better stewards, protecting earth and her creatures.
All moments in the Light were filled with a wisdom, kindness, and Love no words can do justice to. These encounters with heaven evoked such awe, gratitude and humility that I often wept.
The "still, small voice within” instructed me to write down each vision during the two years and to share them. They began in Ohio during the dark of early winter in 1999. The visions continued through our move to a cabin in the high desert on Mt. Baldy in the Angeles National Forest, and lasted well beyond our return in the summer of 2001.
I was told that these windows into divine presence or heaven would help others. To this day, they continue to help light my way. And my prayer is that you will find glimpses of light in these pages that are helpful for your own journey.
Years before the visions began; I dreamed that I was standing alone in a great desert. The night was quite dark. Beside me I saw a small tent from which the Light of God glowed. My task was to wait in the darkness for wanderers, travelers and pilgrims, and when one came by, I was to lift up a tiny corner of the tent flap so they could see God's Light shining.
