My passion is Jesus! Ever since I was introduced to him I have been fascinated with who he is and what he thinks and does. I wanted to truly know him, up close and personal. When I received him as my Savior I immediately had an insatiable hunger to learn more and more about him and what he wanted me to learn from his Word and the things that he brought my way. While reading through the accounts of his life in the four gospels, I was struck by the lifestyle of this gentle, loving, yet powerful man as he walked, talked and interacted with other people and with his Father.

Intrigued by the correlation between how Christian are encouraged to live and the way Jesus lived when he was here on the earth, I have taken a number of these “just as Jesus” passages, seeking to realize their reality in my life. It has been an exciting adventure! The Lord has given us a fascinating glimpse into a lifestyle that pleases and brings glory to Him.

Jesus definitely lived a unique and exemplary life. People could identify who he was by the way he lived and what he said. Amazingly, the Bible constantly urges us to live as he lived, think like he thought, love the way he loved. “By this we may perceive (know, recognize, and be sure) that we are in Him: Whoever says he abides in Him ought [as a personal debt] to walk and conduct himself in the same way in which He walked and conducted Himself” (1 John 2:5b, 6 Amplified). In Romans chapter 8 we are told that God is conforming us to the likeness of Jesus. If the Lord wants us to live a life like Jesus lived then there must be a “Jesus lifestyle”, and he must have a plan to enable us to live it.

My desire is for the reader to know our Lord better, to love and trust him more and to have a lifestyle that is bubbling over with joy, love and great expectations.
