Login to your life will be a brief overview (12,600 words) of the "on demand" issues that currently plague our society. The Problem- My work and my experience personally and professionally lead me to propose that this society is out of balance. A lot of the relationships today (from our spouses and children, to friends, coworkers, high school friends, friends you don’t really know--hopefully you don’t have those) involve a shallow attachment and imbalance of closeness and reciprocity, which leads to not getting our emotional needs met and then having anxiety. We are spending too much time on things that don’t matter (What I call “On Demand” fulfillment- social media, internet relationships, texting, video games) and not enough time on things that do (connecting on a deeper emotional level, communicating face to face, enjoying the small gifts of life, setting and working toward goals, engaging our senses). We are not satisfied with relationships in this fashion and some end up feeling dissatisfied with their lives. The tank will not get filled with quick fixes. Progress is important, but it is also important to remember to prioritize and make sure your investment to your priorities is in check. Learn to embrace and be grateful for the little things, the small gifts in life.
