A secret that could change the world is lost inside the head of a comatose scientist. To rescue it, a team of experts use the experimental Brainscape device to link with the man’s subconscious imagination. Among them, the patient’s estranged son Luke, who must battle demons real and imagined as he faces  the monsters, terrors and contradictions of both the human mind – and the human heart.

Richard Trescerrick is the dysfunctional genius behind a the ultimate gaming interface – the Brainscape, a machine that links minds. He’s finally found the algorithm to make the device safe, but before revealing it, he is attacked and left in a coma.

To save his life, solve the crime and recover the formula, a team of doctors and police use the Brainscape and enter Richard’s subconscious mind. The team includes psychologist Cate Locksley; Brainscape CEO Bernard Dubois; technician Seb Morley; and police detective Yvonne Warren.

They also need a family member to establish trust and Richard’s estranged son Luke - Cornish surfer, artist, fisherman, part-time drunk and full-time, devoted father to autistic son Daniel - is the only option.

But as the team enters the Brainscape something goes wrong. They are scattered and trapped inside Richard’s subconscious, unable to escape. If they die in here, they die for real and there are dangers everywhere.

“It’s a mind: it works by metaphor”

A journey into the labyrinth of the human mind…

Where secrets are riddles wrapped in metaphor. Where dangers lurk behind every memory. Where stories comes alive. And monsters are made flesh.
