Twenty-two year-old Ricky Fielding decides to dress up as a woman so he can accompany his conservative boyfriend, Mark Holland, to a work Christmas party. Unfortunately Ricky drinks too much and accepts a job offer from divorce lawyer Gary Morgan.
The next day Mark tells Ricky to reject the job, but Ricky is desperate for work and believes he can not only dress like a woman but act like one too. To make things even more complicated, Mark's 12-year-old daughter, Rachel, comes to stay for the school holidays.
At work straight Gary Morgan becomes infatuated with his beautiful new secretary. At first Ricky manages to fend off his advances, but as his anger with Mark's attitude grows, his resistance begins to crumble.
Ricky and Rachel become good friends, and hope to re-introduce Mark to the joys of fatherhood, but then Mark catches his lover in a compromising position with Gary. Furious, he blurts out Ricky's secret, and he suddenly finds himself unemployed and homeless.
Can Ricky mend the tattered mess his life has become and make up with Mark?
