The man famously described as 'The Best Comedy Writer in Great Britain', wrote to Trev, 'I've read 'Love is Funny' and thoroughly enjoyed it. I thought the way you handled all those characters was masterful - excellent for film or TV.' - Guy Bellamy

'Love is Funny' is a romantic grown-up comedy par excellence, with both verbal and situation humour frequently getting in the way of true love, whilst all the time the unfolding story maintains a breath-taking pace through a book that's difficult to put down.

Mary York, a clumsy middle-aged woman given to Spoonerisms, is locked in a loveless marriage to the pompous and incompetent Harold, who in error is promoted to manager of the council run 'Old Barrow Airport', shortly to become 'Old Barrow International'. But Mary bumps into Arthur, a humble little man, and an unlikely romance blossoms.

Pat Abraham, a mega-rich American married to a perverted construction tycoon, embarks on an affair with Jack-the-Lad Lansdowne, who also works at the airport.

Vivacious Fiona Fawcendowne, known as 'Fifi', PR officer for both the council and the airport, is in love with wealthy widower 'Danny-Boy' Defoe, father to Nadine, a girl in her late teens.

Whilst Nadine herself is in love with Dave Tucker, a black pupil in her sixth form class at school.....

Apart from the lovers, we have the incompetent Harold and evil Ben Abraham getting in the way of things.

As the 4 inter-twined love stories come together on the day the airport is to be officially opened by 'the Prince' to become 'Old Barrow International', things descend into chaos, with a gorilla on the loose, parachutists landing in a nearby bog, and the runway blocked by an airliner taxiiing off the edge, leaving teenager Nadine Defoe on her first solo flight unable to land......

There's plenty more, including a council jolly to the naughty city of Amsterdam, and lots of romance, sex and comedy, but to discover that, you must buy the book....
