Donald MacBeth, a Scottish twenty something, is trying to break out from a twenty-year stretch in the Highland rural family crime business. He arrives in the city to establish a career to support Angela, the love of his life. He falls foul of the VAT squad, amongst others, and whilst on the run, falls in with an Italian CIA informant also dodging pursuit, but from the Mafia.
