Maggie Arrives is a book for kids that tells the charming tales of an urban fox and two domestic cats, with beautiful and classic illustrations that bring all the animals alive.
Come and meet Maggie!

Maggie is a magnificent red fox who lives in London, England. When our intrepid fox first visits the garden at the back of a terraced house looking for food, she decides to venture further, winding up inside the house. In the living room, she comes upon the Black Cat and the Tabby Cat, the two feline residents, who give her a rather unwelcome reception.

Undaunted, Maggie keeps returning to the garden and the house and each time she has to contend with the two cats. The Black Cat is always ready to chase after her, but the Tabby Cat quite likes the idea of having the fox around, although he can’t bring himself to admit as much to his feline chum.
Things begin to change when Maggie suggests that they all share the garden and after a bout of sickness turns the Black Cat and the Tabby Cat into her unlikely helpers.

Kids will enjoy these animal stories on their own or as bedtime stories read to them. It is most suitable for ages 4-8, but it will delight older kids (9-12) and adults alike. This reading contains humour and also invites reflection on friendship, compassion, tolerance and respect. It will endear all readers of children’s books about foxes and other pet animals too.
